october release

Are you excited for tomorrow's release? We're so glad our Miu Rose dress made it in time for show and we'd like to share more of what's to come at 9am Singapore time.

Our Miu Rose dress has a modified inspired design from Miu Miu's own woollen dress that we thought would make the perfect little luxury dress for the upcoming cooler seasons. We made it using romance delustered satin in a shade of rose, topped it with broderie anglaise organza and gold lace trims from our recent Japan trip. The beautiful collar also comes embellished with clear AB Swarovski crystals.

This dress will be sold together with a pair of soft mesh white stockings.

We've also decided to add in a little accessory to this collection. Not a lot, but we hope to make more! ;A; This cute little fluffy beret was on my to-do list for the longest and I shouldn't procrastinate further. It was inspired by Snidel's pearl-embellished beret from years ago which I find to be a classic piece in any wardrobe. This beret comes accented with two sizes of cream cotton pearls and there are options to order it with or without the black organza ribbon bow. :>

We hope you'll like these little luxuries for your darling girls, and if you order by the end of October, we can definitely send them over to you in time for Christmas! :)

Autumn is coming

Are you excited for what this season has to offer? Coming from a land of eternal sun and rain, we've only ever experienced the crispness of fall in foreign lands (and loving its warm colours and refreshing air). We are gearing up for our year-end release, and we do try to make more winter-friendly clothes *sideglance* (we have a scrumptious delustered satin dress!), but well, we are an eternal spring-time label... :p See more of what we have coming up below!

Dainty Eve is wearing a dress made with Liberty UK's 2017 Spring collection fabric, called Wild Flowers. :3 I wonder if we can coin it a lovesprung x Liberty piece... I fell in love with this fabric the moment I entered the store and splurged on just this one design for now. We'll see if you guys like it for your girls! I also wonder if I can resist buying more fabric from them even if it kills me...

 

Isn't Rodart just the perfect little lady? This is a new flutter design we tried that's inspired by Temperley London's chiffon maxi dress that we tried using our bow print fabric. ^^= The sleeves have slits up the middle which you can't see here (I shared that version on our Instagram account).

And another look at our one-of-a-kind macrame lace two-piece set for SDGr/16 girls. <3 I adore this lace so much it is hard to part with...

I also found the perfect fabric for winter skirts! This delightful pleated georgette from Korea is the perfect fabric for lounging around in slouchy knit socks. Loulou, our Unon, wore our two different cuts with lace bodysuits. The top skirt is an A-line cut while the lower one is an almost H-line cut. :p This skirt can be made for SD and MSD girl sizes.

We will update more pictures of the delustered satin dress that's inspired by a Miu Miu dress once we get her stockings done. Aren't you excited now? ;)

Please welcome our newest girl to the family! <3 She is a Volks DWC03 head borrowing Iola's SDGr body right now. I need to search for a newer body to suit her unyellowed resin (and have these 2 girls in the same picture!). She has gently squinting eyes that I hope to accentuate more with bigger eyes. She also has a carrot red short wig that brings out her reddish brown brows. These eyes are temporary ones I got from Rosenlied for my adopted Lieselotte previously.

Another shot of her with a filter on. She's wearing one of our new lace bodysuits that will be released in our upcoming collection. We will share white, pink and black colours. ^^ Hope to share more updates with you soon!

Ficondoll x Modsdoll

These two can be rather fun to play with now that I have two of them. Left is Modsdoll Day & Night and right is Ficondoll Irina. Both of them had a wig swap and clothing swap here. Still on their own bodies. NSFW picture after cut.

Here's a look at Modsdoll (L) and Ficondoll (R) side by side nude. Overall, I prefer Ficondoll's body, it has beautiful joints and easier to control stability. Modsdoll has the old school fashion doll knees and longer legs. Body blushing wise, Ficondoll wins. I just don't dig the yellow gold mani pedi!

Here's a look at Ficondoll wearing Modsdoll clothing. Her feet is smaller than Modsdoll, so a perfect fit in their shoes! She can also stand unaided. :D

I still need to get used to ms Day&Night, or more like, try on those Ellowyn Wilde shoes I got that were too large for Irina that might allow more standing stability. She's wearing this Kingdom Doll sized one piece that Irina wore in her last introduction post. The fit is not as perfect on Modsdoll as on Ficondoll, but not bad.

I love Day&Night's jawline. So feminine and soft! Now I know why I didn't like Ficondoll's Irina's face from the side so much, check out the next picture to see why...

Irina doesn't have a natural looking jawline that leaves her neck, like how D&N's works. It makes her look a little stiff and unnatural. :(

The insides of both dolls are just alike! Just that Fcondoll's doesn't look as bumpy. Modsdoll used white elastics and Ficondoll uses pink! What a cute colour I've not seen used in dolls before.

Ficondoll has clean joints and a Kips disc at the neck to prevent abrasion between head and neck (as well as helps positioning). Modsdoll has quite a bit of residue within joints, and you can see some on her neck and shoulder.

A look at both heads and magnetic head caps side by side (sorry they aren't aligned). Then it hit me their resin skintone don't look too far off, so that means...

Headswap time! :D D&N didn't have that thick portion to the bottom, so didn't hide the Kips disc well, but she still looks rather elegant on Ficondoll's body. Irina fits Modsdoll's body as well! So perhaps the future go-to is to get Ficondoll's beautiful body to go with gentle Modsdoll girl heads. D:

I need to get down to sewing for these girls, but they're mature and realistic, I feel they need more street styled clothing. *_*

Modsdoll Day & Night arrives

Our second 16" resin fashion doll arrived on Saturday and here are some long awaited pictures of her arrival. :) Day & Night is the latest released doll by The Modsdoll. She is similar to Ficondoll's Irina in terms of fully-blushed body with matching mani pedis. More on the box-opening and NSFW images.

No funny foam people this time. D&N came in a matte black box with silver modsdoll foil stamping. She came already dressed and in these stubs for hands (now I know what they're for haha) and her dress came in a dust bag separately packed (which I unpacked here). Her accessories and wig were kept in the black drawer at the bottom. Her certification came in a black envelope. She also comes with a stand, which from previous experience, I'll skip using it for fear of staining...

She came with a second pair of hands, a clutch, necklace and nude mesh tights.

She has rather simple body blushing as compared to Ficondoll's Irina. More on comparisons in my next post, but I love her pearl pink manicure very much..

D&N in her default casual outfit. Love her jeans! That was one of the reasons why I bought her. <3

She has nice burgundy pumps but I find her feet a tad too big and I had to squeeze them into her own shoes. :/ She has an adorable matching clutch, too, and the back of her shirt has rhinestones.

Her LBD was also a tad tight on her, but at least it zipped up. D&N has a lovely soft allure to her face and postures, but I find her legs hard to control and position for standing.

Chiffon & Grosgrain

We love the look of grosgrain ribbons especially when made into ribbon bows! This coming Saturday (at 9am Singapore time) we will be releasing these belts (with double folds on the left) in two chic colours: Fawn Beige and Lilac Mist. They close with sparkle elastics and snaps at back. We got our inspiration from Lanvin's own grosgrain ribbon bow belts. <3

We also have these other two exciting pieces in line: a cotton body with neatly sewn pintucks at front and ruffles along the sleeves. This will make it so much more convenient when dressing our girls in separates and ensuring they look neat and tidy. :) This piece will be a standard item.

The chiffon skirt is called Palest Pink for its sheer pink quality and delicate rose and lattice embroidery. We love the scalloped edges as well. What a demure piece to add to any girl's wardrobe! This piece will be limited to three in the world.

Ficondoll Irina arrives!

Irina arrived on Friday but I only managed to open her box today. <3 She is a 16" resin doll with a limited edition of 24 and made by Korean company, Ficondoll. She is strung like the usual ball-jointed dolls and is doubled jointed. She has a gorgeous gorgeous body with beautiful blushing and paint work. Will share my box opening here! :) *NSFW near the end where I share pictures of her in her birthday suit..

I was so amused by the foam body cut-out heheh... There are two layers to the box. Doll at the bottom, clothes and other accessories at the top. Her outfit is very well made with coat and bustier both lined and well sewn. Her bustier was a little hard to snap the top snap on, and her baggy jeans weren't the style I was looking for Irina so didn't take any pictures of her in them, sorry! Her feet couldn't fit into her default boots however, and Ficondoll creator kindly contacted me about this. I couldn't bear forcing her feet into the tightly strapped boots. Ficondoll told me they would have fitted the older version of the body where the shoemaker had the feet for reference, but not the newer body. D: I see now.. This didn't affect my happy experience with Irina, though. :) she is such a beautiful doll. Hee if anyone wants to buy her outfit feel free to contact me.

*Be VERY CAREFUL with placing your doll on this default stand. The black saddle portion stained parts of Irina's lower parts and belly when I was checking whether she could stand on it. And even with heels on the stand is too tall for her and unadjustable... It isn't too much of an issue since Irina could stand unaided for many poses. :)

Ficondoll assured that the next release of dolls will finally get an adjustable stand with different coloured saddle so the staining don't occur. I can also use 3M superfine sandpaper to gently remove stains from her body. Her resin felt matte and I was afraid I might scratch her sealant off since there was body blushing.

Irina came in this cute little kimono protection piece and a face cover very much like our 1:3 sized bjds. Her headcap is also magnetic with an S hook in the neck.

Her body is to die for. ;A; Sooo beautiful! She has blushing on her boobs, belly, hands, neckline and even ankles. I also like the colour of her hair. it appears to be more cooler in shade than the wine red colour in her promo pictures. However, I don't think this style suits her face shape very well. Her profile looks rather manly.. I think it's her strong side jawline, but I love her little heart-shaped chin.. Hope I find the right wig style for her soon!

Irina is wearing a custom one-piece lingerie made by AnnCollection to fit Kingdom Doll girls. I ordered a white one as well but this blue colour matched her hair colour perfectly. <3 I'm still getting used to her face, though. It's not the usual sweet girls I'm used to, and she has a rather stern and strong face that's hard to soften. I really hope better wig styles will do the job of softening her up coz I do prefer my girls soft. ;)

Overall, her posing is great, and she stands very well on her own even without a stand. I can't wait to dress her up in other fashions (with my mother's help, of course!) and we can see more photos of her. :)
